A Tale to Tell: My FRIEND

“ He’s not my friend, he just happen to be someone I know” said James in a thirty-minute conversation with his stepmom, Mrs. Michael. Here, we are talking about someone who has been a friend of James for five years (or like he said, “ someone he knew”)  We often introduce people by putting across , “meet my friend XYZ ” and then the curious me begin to make an enquiry about the concept of friendship . There is this oft-cited quote, ” show me your friend and I will tell you who you are ”. In this present age, where the number of likes we get on our various social media platform and the vast number of people around us define our value, many are hidden in the dark, while trying to find themselves. In the quest to fit in, the average person would rather renounce his identity and remain hidden beneath the shadow of another person. What we do not realize is that our everyday fight is not just to be a superhuman, because being human is super on its own.        T...
